Demand Shaped by Public Transportation and Green Space

REIDIN CEO Kerim Bertrand stated, “The REIDIN – Enakliyat Moving Index continues to measure moving activity for Istanbul and Ankara on a quarterly basis. The Istanbul Moving Index appears to have reached its highest value this quarter at 126.4, a peak since the first quarter of 2017. Looking at regional preferences, Kadıköy is the most preferred district with a 10.9% share. Its status as one of the most livable districts in Istanbul directs people to choose this area for moving. In terms of moving activity, Ankara’s most active district is Çankaya with 18.25%. Being among the most livable districts, both in terms of its socio-demographic qualities and high level of development, is one of the main reasons for the significant moving dynamics seen in Çankaya.”

Enakliyat co-founder İskender Yılmaz commented on the third-quarter results of the Moving Activity Report: “With the completion of the elections, July became one of the months with the highest demand for the moving industry. June and July are typically the busiest months for the sector, and this high level of activity is generally observed over these two months. However, we observed that many of the moves planned for this past June were postponed to July due to the election and the Ramadan holiday. Additionally, school holidays are another factor that directly impacts moving activity. For this reason, it can be said that this past August and September were also busy in terms of moving demand.”
